J
had quite a few contributions to the menu this week, particularly starting with
Tuesday and beyond.
Saturday
Grilled Chicken
Buttered Noodles
Green Beans
Father’s Day
Eat Dad’s favorites today, and in our house
that means beef, plus a yummy dessert.
Make extra potatoes for Wednesday night.
Grilled Steak
Baked Potatoes
I know it’s hot out and you don’t want your
oven on for a long time, so you can start your potato in the microwave for 3-5
minutes to start the cooking process, but let it finish in a 350 degree oven
and you’ll avoid the typical gummy taste of a nuked potato.
Peas
Chocolate Banana
Pudding
Mix one package chocolate pudding with
sliced bananas and nilla wafers. Sounds
a little different and it is, but it is a good different.
Monday
Beans
Put your beans on to soak the night before
and then you can cook them in the crock pot all day. If you don’t want you kitchen to get hot, you
can move your crock pot to a table on the porch, as long as you don’t have a
dog that will jump up and eat the meal when it starts to smell good.
Cornbread
Jiffy Mix is my favorite, with just a ½ tsp
of sugar added for goodness.
Cantaloupe
Tuesday
Chocolate Chip
Pancakes (Bisquick
are our favorites)
Sausage Links
Orange Slices
Wednesday
Grilled Caprese Panini’s
Layer tomato slices, fresh basil,
mozzarella, a little leftover chicken or steak from the weekend, on a French or
sourdough roll. Place a pat of butter in
a hot skillet and add sandwich. Place a
heavy skillet on top to create the ‘press’ factor if you don’t have a Panini press.
Home Fries
Peaches (canned or
fresh)
Thursday
Spaghetti
Salad
Strawberries &
Yogurt
Friday
Fish Sticks
Tater Tots
Broccoli
